ITINERARY
Meeting Point: Beira Tours, Castelo Branco, Portugal (or another location to be agreed) Our office is located inside the Nuno Álvares Shopping Center, right in front of the Tourist Office. On a trip that promises to be a journey full of culture, history and stunning scenery, we depart from the charming city of Castelo Branco towards the Historic Villages.
Belmonte:
Where history and beauty meet!Embraced by the majestic medieval castle, Belmonte is an icon that mixes stunning landscapes with a unique historical richness, dominating territories and routes over the centuries.
Emblematic for being the birthplace of Pedro Álvares Cabral, the navigator who discovered Brazil, and for its notable Jewish heritage (the largest active community in Portugal), this journey is an immersion in the history and culture of region. We will visit the Jewish Museum, the Discoveries Museum, the Ecomuseum of Zêzere and the Olive Oil Museum, culminating our journey at the imposing Belmonte Castle.
Lunch: (Not included) In a world full of fast food, having a meal at a local restaurant is like savoring a piece of the heart of these localities, where each dish is a unique memory of the community and even the flavors themselves tell stories. Here, you can treat yourself to a typical meal in one of the local restaurants, or simply have a picnic with your own delicacies.
Tower of Centum Cellas:
Mystery in the form of ruins...Departing from Belmonte, the next stop is right next door. We go to Colmeal da Torre to unravel the enigma of the mysterious Tower of Centum Cellas. These ruins have attracted curious looks and generated intriguing theories, involving themselves in fascinating legends.

Sortelha:
A walk through Historical ErasSortelha, one of the most beautiful and ancient Portuguese villages, maintains its architectural essence from the Renaissance to the present day.
Our journey continues with a pedestrian walk through its streets and alleys, embraced by defensive walls and under the watchful eye of a 12-th century castle. Medieval tombs, the Manueline Pelourinho and a Renaissance Church invite us to take a journey back in time through past eras.
Castelo Novo:
A walk of inspiration and fascination.Immersed in the soul of Serra da Gardunha, with a natural landscape of serene tones of green and gray, Castelo Novo appears, enveloped in a mystical atmosphere. In this place, there is something truly fascinating, a harmony that touches us deeply. Every detail inspires and captivates, from the soft sound of water from the fountains to the striking presence of the granite that shapes the village, sculpting its houses, sidewalks and squares.
Through a short walking trail we will discover this architectural gem. If your visit takes place in April / May, you will also be treated to cherry blossom trees, an indescribable scene.
Return to Castelo Branco: Memories of a memorable trip The sun sets on the horizon and the journey is coming to an end! It's time to back to the present and return to Castelo Branco. On a peaceful car ride, we will remember the unforgettable moments of this day full of discoveries. These memories will linger in your mind for a long time, with the certainty that there would be nothing to change on this incredible walk through the past.
